“Cool. We’ll watch a movie then.” I get to my feet. “I have a shitload of great movies in there – so you choose.” I point to the cabinet next to the TV, indicating their whereabouts. “I’m just gonna go change.”

I feel Mia’s eyes on me as I leave the room. The second I’m out of sight, I run downstairs to my room. Yes, I’m that lame.

I change into a tank and shorts, spray deodorant, put on some aftershave, and brush my teeth – you know just in case.

I’m an optimistic kind of guy. And that was optimistic, not opportunistic.
